Alemazaner!!!

Here's Alexander after the last Parent Performance after Showcase this year.
Go Duck!!

Crazy Halloween

Here are the girls out Trick or Treating again this year. That's Abigail in front, Elizabeth the Wood Nymph and Katie as a Goddess... She I think was Athena but not sure. Anyway they have been reading about mythology, mom drug home butterfly wings, and togas are easy. There ya go. Below is a shot of another trick or treater. I loved his makeup... but it was a little scary!

Sirens

The Mighty Lion Marching Band show this year was titled "Sirens" and was supposed to be the luring of the sailors onto the rocks thing. You know. Unfortunately there were several bands with similar themes this year. Last year's show was, besides absolutely incredible music, use of people on the field, color guard uniforms, total display, and did I mention incredible music? was very unique and really stood out. Everyone seemed to remember it. This year it was just another one with the girl waving around the bat wings. Too bad too. They still took top place because they are completely awesome, incredibly talented musicians who can march perfect intervals. Ok pictures.

This is the band in the beginning all scrunched up as the "sirens" (color guard, in the lime and seaweed) "lure" them to the end. There you go! All smashed on the rocks. Go Band!!

For You Band Fans

Well another season of the Lafayette High School Mighty Lion Marching Band has (mercifully) come to a close and I have my son back until next July. The Louisiana Showcase of Marching Bands was awesome as usual. Here are a few highlights I wanted to share!

These drummers were very dedicated and actually incredibly loud.

Fontainbleu High School had an awesome show. They were very sneaky and who could be cooler in that Cavalier hat with Red Feather and a cape? I ask you!

Here's my "Where's Waldo?" shot from St Thomas More's performance. The line judge was everywhere and completely distracting, but with this band he almost matched.

This band's theme was "Primitive" and the spears and shields were really cute. They came out in a Roman block though which confused me but looked really really cool on the field. Even with the orange.

I will post separate for our band. If all this loads the first time I'll let you know and do the happy dance!!
