We put Alex on the plane and he arrived in Salt Lake City where his aunt Lori picked him up. She has four boys who have served or are serving missions and she has this down to a science. Well, it's more like beyond science to art. Thank you thank you Lori!!
If you want to track Alexander's adventures, you'll have to go to his blog at www.elderawbrey.blogspot.com so I highly recommend you go there and mark "follow" so you don't miss anything!!
Here is one pic to tease you!

Dog Parade
It has been a very busy week. Saturday was the Dog Parade, or Crewe des Chiens where we got to show off our furs and throw beads. I was busy untangling beads, that's my excuse for the lack of good photos, but there were some terrific canine subjects there!!

Elizabeth goes to Homecoming
No sports fans no pictures of the game, or even of her escort, but Elizabeth did go to Homecoming!
She made some modifications to a white dress we found at Penneys (who had a rather extensive collection of eyelet this year). What do you think? Of course, it's purple.

Goals
So I am working on my goals. I am following several challenges inspired by other people and a few of my own. I find that as long as I make the goals achievable they are a fabulous way to push me a little harder to stay on target. I need reminders though. I remember reading a book on goals a long time ago that suggested putting 3x5 cards with your goals around you. Put one where you will see it in bed, in the rooms in the house you spend time, at your desk, at work, in the car.
So I am working on a little bit smaller of a card to print up in pretty colors. Maybe, if I get used to seeing them around, then when I see just the main color it will remind me of my goals! I am making them to match my personal journal to remind me to journal, too. I made a cheater journal, it has prompts in it to inspire me to write. It helps.
Journalling, reading, sewing, scrapbooking, and certain things I want to master on the computer are on my list. (Design a web page from scratch, for my office; get the snipper tool working on my computer; master digital scrapbooking without a scrapbook program among them). Saving money and making time to exercise also up there. Wish me luck! <3
